No Respect

Words are more caught than taught. We can’t blame them when they learn so much through us. “OUR” Father You are Holy. We reverence Your name. We behold You, what you are doing in “OUR” life. You’ve pegged us right. It is You that is Holy. All that’s right-in-us is like filthy rags. Why should we get any respect when what we say and do is more highly respected than You? Mostly we perceive sports as having a greater influence than other faith leaders. We would never use their name in vain. We copy their trash talk.

You name it for who we really are and whose we are. We are Yours O Lord. We hear You and follow Your lead. That still small voice is still within us that says, “Hallowed” “BE” Your name. To use Your name for no reason is a sacrilege.

It is for Christ’s sake we are named for Your One and only Son. There is no other name on earth given among men we can “BE” safer than sorry to “BE” damned. We are “BE”livers again of Your life in these bodies. We are clean before You because of who You are. And, we know the difference. Forgive us for we owe You; a debt of love and respect. There is no one else willing to give their life for us. You rescue us from “OUR” sin of using Your name for no reason.

It is You who make it right-in-us. May we see others through Your eyes as You look to us to do as You’ve done for us. Show us the highway of no return when we head in Your direction of love and grace. Deliver us from the evil one. You are Holy, Holy, Holy!
