Closer

WELCOME+HOMECome here, come near and crawl up in my lap. Your Daddy is waiting to listen. Draw near with a heart full of assurance and I will draw near to you. No fear when I AM near. You can trust me!

O Lord You know we are not fit. We stink! We’re afraid You know us better than we do ourselves. So What – Now What? What’s this in “OUR” hand we cling? We’ll drop it and leave it behind us. Just one step more closer to You and everything will “BE” all right! You said if we come near to You, You will come near to us.

Close up to You we don’t stink. You are the sweetest smelling Savor we’ve ever needed. “OUR” nostrils are full of Your aroma. Don’t leave us now or forsake us when we are on the mend. “OUR” prayers are like sweet perfume. We’re trusting in You to finish what You’ve started. It seems impossible now. So make us ever new! We love You and need You so much. Just one step at a time sweet Jesus, one day at a time; Nearer “OUR” Father You meet us more than half way, Your glow ray shows us the way. We love what You say to show us the way. Sing it over again to us.

We have short memories so tell us again and again whose we are. All “OUR” un-right-in-us has been paid in full and forgotten; We are already in Your care and keeping. Deliver us from the evil one. We are Yours O Lord and we have heard Your voice, telling us of Your love for us. We are coming to You one step at a time. Learning to lean, it’s a rush coming on strong to You. “Amazing!”
