The word that saves is right here,
as near as the tongue in your mouth,
as close as the heart in your chest.
O taste and see that the Lord [“OUR” Father] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.
It’s the word of faith that welcomes “OUR” Father to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of who we are. Say the welcoming word to “OUR” Father —“Jesus is my Master”— embracing, body and soul, Your work of doing in us what You did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. We’re not “doing” anything; we’re simply calling out to “OUR” Father, trusting You to do it for us. That’s salvation! With “OUR” whole being we embrace You “OUR” Father to set things right, and then we can say it, right out loud: “OUR” Father has made it right between Him and us!”
We have minds like in a snake pit! How can we suppose what we say is worth anything when we are so foul-minded? It’s in “OUR” heart, not the dictionary, which gives meaning to “OUR” words. Words are powerful; take them seriously. His Word can be “OUR” salvation. Words can also be “OUR” damnation.”
What comes out of the mouth gets its start in the heart. It’s from the heart that we vomit up evil arguments, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, lies, and cussing. Forgive us! Through the praise of us “BE”coming like little trusting children again when as infants You have established a stronghold against Your enemies, to silence the evil one and accuser.
I will sing of the mercies of the Lordfor ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
