Anxious for Nothing
“In everything give thanks; this is Your will for us.” Thank You “OUR” Father that nothing escapes Your attention or gets You upset. You laugh at the wicked, for You know their day is coming. You scoff at all those nations.
Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. And it’s trouble ahead if we’re satisfied with “OUR”self. “OUR” self will not satisfy us for long. There’s trouble ahead if we think life’s full of fun and games. There’s suffering to be met, and we’re going to meet it head on.
So we will let “OUR” Father work His will in us. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to “OUR” Father and He’ll be there all the time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before “OUR” Master; it’s the only way we’ll get on “OUR” feet.
Come close to “OUR” Father and he will come close to you. Realize that you have sinned and get your hands clean again. Realize that you have been disloyal and get your hearts made true once more. As you come closer to “OUR” Father you should be deeply sorry, you should be grieved, and you should even be in tears. Your laughter will have to become mourning; your high spirits will have to become heartfelt dejection. You will have to feel very small in the sight of “OUR” Father before he will set you on your feet once more. There is still time before His appearing.
A right time for birth and another for death,
A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal,
A right time to destroy and another to construct,
A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to make love and another to abstain,
A right time to embrace and another to part,
A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak up,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace.
“BE”ing bad, sad and mad at “OUR” sin is better than laughter, for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better and gains gladness. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. We’ll not fret or worry. Instead of worrying, we pray. Let petitions and praises shape “OUR” worries into prayers, we’ll let “OUR” Father know “OUR” concerns. Before you know it, a sense of holiness, His Spirit of wholeness in everything comes together for good; He will come and settle us down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of “OUR” life.
”OUR” Father meet us more than halfway and free us from every anxious fear. When we truly seek (inquire of) You Lord and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word], and He hears us, and delivers us from all “OUR” fear of the evil one.
No power on earth or heaven can separate us from “OUR” Father’s love. Not sin, not any authority, not any spiritual force. His love is unshakable and can always be relied upon. Thank You for first loving us.
