You Didn’t Build That Alone

You Didn’t Build That Alone

Someone else helped you out with what was at hand. Who did you ask for help? Where did that help come from? “OUR” help comes from the Lord. Inspiration is just an idea that fails unless someone comes along side of you to help. The thought of “doing it” on ‘OUR’ own is presumptuous. Where does that inspiration come from? Who made you “do it”? It is arrogance to think you did that alone without a helper. Are you in charge of where the details originate? “OUR” help comes from “OUR” Maker and Master who holds your hand to “do it” right.

You’re never by yourself and these thoughts, ‘I can do this myself’, leave us wanting. I, Me, Mine never work alone and are bound for failure. “OUR” Father designed in You in mind that way. His rules were right with all the right rules and He has all the right to rule. Did I do that? You didn’t do that!

Who gave us title and deed to “BE” what we could never have imagined? It is a Sacred, Holy thing to fall into the hands of the living God! His Word is sure and if you “do it” His way will never fail. The sin is in, “I’d rather ‘do it’ myself.” God forbid! We’ll sink in “OUR” own swamp. Overwhelmed, we can admit we need a helper, someone to come along side and hold “OUR” hand, to lift us out of the miry clay, smooth the way and lighten the load off “OUR” shoulders.

To “BE” forgiven is not weakness, but meekness to admit, we need You, “OUR” Father. It’s the meek who inherit the earth. Thank You for giving to us the desire to know You and the sense of doing for others as You have for us doesn’t take a dime. Yes, we can do for one another like Your One and only Son has done for us freely without charge.

We’ve only one life to live; let us live to give without cost or price. Yes, we can “BE”live it again. Lead us out of the draught of despair. Deliver us from the evil one who says we didn’t need You to do that.

Victory that overcomes the world is in You, in You forever!
