One Golden Dollar

“Tuppence for the birds” the commoner would cry out as she sat on the steps of St. Paul’s. Two pennies by today standards would be a dollar to feed the birds.

An offering of two birds in the Temple sold for a “farthing”, about a quarter of a penny. At least the widows Mite for her offering was worth two cents. Her whole living was much more valuable than the offerings from the rich man’s abundance.

One dollar with inflation today may be all we have, but it’s worth more than all the other gifts combined because it was from total living. What is the cost of a gift today that One Dollar Gold Coin could buy? In the palm of the hand of a little beggar it may “BE” the whole world of good.

One dollar is all it takes to satisfy a yearning to do good for heaven’s sake. In the eyes of a small child it is like the faith of that child. It means to whole world to them.

To have the faith of a child is the kind of faith it takes to enter “OUR” Father’s Domain. To trust Him to name us among His “BE”loved is “Priceless”!

Always doing “OUR” Father’s will, “BE”ing about His business, the house of prayer inherits whole Nations to care for. Charity begins at home.

Let us give as was given to us in “OUR” poverty and greed, into His goodness, gladness and glee, we come for a foretaste of glory above.

It only takes a little One Dollar Golden coin, a gift with the faith of a child to feed a poor soul today.

Forgive “OUR” uncaring, thoughtless words and deeds that hurt “OUR” Savior. We owe others more than that after all He has done for us, it’s the least we can do.

One Golden Dollar pressed in the palm of another child in the time of need to deliver us from the dark side into the shadow of the Almighty.
